Backyard Family Session in Falmouth, Maine | MAINE FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

Have you ever wondered where you should have your family session? How about in your own backyard? I’m not going to lie, I secretly do a little happy dance when a mom messages me that she wants to do her session at home. There are so many great reasons to have your session here. How about the fact that you don’t have to load everyone into the car and drive anywhere? You just walk out your front door and there you are, ready to go. Another reason I love backyard sessions is how happy and at ease everyone is. The backyard is a happy, familiar place. It’s a place where you’ve probably already made lots of memories, and it deserves to be documented! Having your session in your own backyard allows me to preserve some slice of life memories for you and family to look back on.

Speaking of backyard sessions, I’m so excited to share this beautiful backyard session today! It seems like just yesterday I was meeting Lindsay and Dylan at the hospital for Jocelyn’s Fresh 48 session. She was just shy of turning one when these photos were taken, and seriously, she was a joy to photograph! I wish I could have recorded the sound of her giggles to go with these images, because my gosh, were they adorable. This little lady was so full of joy and curiosity, and was as happy snuggling up to mom and dad as she was sitting in the grass, swinging in her swing, and crawling around the front yard. Big thank you to Lindsay and Dylan for trusting me to capture this season of life for them! Here are a few of my favorites.
