There is something so special about Fresh 48 hospital sessions. Everything is new. New parents, a new baby, a newly formed family of three. When I head to the hospital to document these first moments of a new life, I feel so honored to be trusted to capture these memories.

The time in the hospital flies by, and I want to help new mamas and papas remember what those first moments with their little one felt like. I want them to remember how their new baby’s head fits so easily into the palms of their hands. I want them to have photographs of baby’s delicate features—teeny tiny noses, fingers, and toes. I want them to be able to look back at the images and remember that whirlwind two days in the hospital and to be transported back to the time when diapers, burp cloths, and around the clock feedings still felt new. I am so lucky that I get to capture these memories for families and I am forever grateful that I am welcomed into hospital rooms to witness the tenderest of moments.
