Beth + Adrian | Fort Williams, Cape Elizabeth, Maine Engagement Session | Stepheney Collins Photography

Oh my gosh, I love engagement sessions! Someone recently asked me what my favorite thing to shoot was, and I started listing off different types of sessions I typically shoot and then I had to stop myself because the question wasn’t what I photograph, but rather what was my favorite. After I thought about it that way, the answer was obvious: people. And more specifically, people in love! I love capturing connections and relationships and engagement sessions are chock full of moments of love and connection.

I met Beth and Adrian, who are to be married this August, at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth. I have only photographed one other engagement session here before, and it was in the winter with lots of snow, so it was really fun to be able to wander around on a warm spring evening with these two lovebirds. I loved getting to know more about Beth and Adrian, who met because of their dogs! Beth reached out to him because he had posted a picture of his sweet little guy, Benny and they bonded over their mutual love for corgis. One of their first dates was at Fort Williams with their pups tagging along, and I couldn’t think of a better location for their engagement photos!

Thank you Beth and Adrian for sharing your love story with me. I don't know what I appreciate more: the fact that you both love and adore each other, or the fact that you both have a love for corgis, or the fact that your pups are named Benny and June! Your love story couldn't be more meant to be and I cannot wait for your wedding!
